ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE—Coaching for Growth (C4G)

Coaching for Growth (C4G) is an organizational performance coaching model designed:

  • To address the research-identified flaws of traditional performance review processes
  • To help all team members grow their skills and become more valuable to the organization, and themselves
  • To develop a culture of feedback


C4G has three foundations:

  1. Measuring What Counts—C4G recognizes the need for well-rounded development. It fosters growth in all three of the human resource traits used to describe successful employees: knowing-doing-being. Collectively, we call these the What Counts Factors (WCF)
  2.  Using data from multiple sources—C4G uses data, as opposed to opinion, or judgement, to guide individual growth. Data is collected for the three What Counts Factors (knowing-doing-being). Feedback is agreed upon and initiated and invited by the coachee. 
  3. Facilitating growth through individual coaching—In C4G, coaching is the engine of growth. We coach around the What Counts Factors  (knowing-doing-being) data. And, instead of telling people what to do, or how to grow, we train coaches to hand the data back to the person it belongs to and expand the conversation using tools that cultivate strengths, self-direction and a growth mindset.
